Sophie B. Hawkins Releases New Single "Betchya Got A Cure" on iTUNES • Announces Five New Tour Dates New York, NY - March 2, 2010 - Grammy nominated and platinum-selling artist Sophie B. Hawkins, is thrilled to announce the release of her newest single, Betchya Got A Cure. Ms. Hawkins is best known for having the longest running hit single on the Billboard Chart -- As I Lay Me Down (67 weeks) - and the pop hit Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover."Betchya Got A Cure is my gut response to the media wars in this country which are driving a wedge between citizens" Hawkins explains. "It's about taking a stand for individuality and being brave instead of being accepted." This release is now available for download on iTUNES. Betchya Got A Cure follows two previous singles in the past year. The Land, the Sea, and the Sky, a ballad she wrote when she saw the disaster unfolding in the Gulf, was released on iTUNES with 100% of net proceeds benefitting the Waterkeeper Alliance. In addition, Ms. Hawkins wrote Flying At Half Mast, a song in honor of those who lost their lives in the tragic Tucson, Arizona shooting in January 2011. Song to Benefit Waterkeeper Alliance New York, NY - May 25, 2010 - Grammy nominated and platinum selling artist Sophie B. Hawkins, best known for having the longest running hit single on the Billboard Chart -- As I Lay Me Down ( 67 weeks) - and the pop hit Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover, will be donating 100% of the net proceeds from her new single "The Land, the Sea and the Sky" to benefit Waterkeeper Alliance, an organization of on-the-water advocates who patrol and protect more than 100,000 miles of rivers, streams and coastlines in North and South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa. The song, which will be the first song released from her long awaited upcoming new album due this fall -- Dream Street & Chance - will be available exclusively for download on Sophie B.
