When is Sophie going to perform ANYWHERE in the NY, NJ or (especially)Philadelphia area??? I've been checking the schedule for some time and she hasn't seemed to hit this area for awhile. I am quite sure there are many fans who would love to see her around here. Philadelphia venue suggestions: TLA (South Street, Phila)., Trocadaro (Philadelphia).

If Hawkins appears in my dreams does that count as a new appearance?

I think this needs to be cleared up pronto.

we'll never get Sophie at our pride events because its run by baby boomer gay men, and all we ever have year after year is fading disco queens from the 70's. :(

Well we will definately never see Sophie here Down Under, even though we have one of the best pride events in the world..the Sydney Mardi Gras!!...

...Janice is there any way we can get Sophie to come to Australia???

Hello Janice,

OK, asking again....is SBH planning and or considering any shows in NY, NJ or Phila.,PA??? Since she is in the NE Region this summer I was hoping...If needed, I can provide a few suitable Phila. venues (use to work in the biz). Thanks in advance :)

There's no scheduled dates for those places at the moment.

It's more a matter of getting a promoter interested, and offering enough to cover expenses - airfare etc.

Thank you for your quick response. There is a Philadelphia promoter who just may be interested. If so, I will pass it on to you and you can forward any booking infomation/perfomer fees & requirements directly to him. Basically, if he is interested, he will want to track her sales in the area in order to estimate ticket sales before offering any guarentee...but honestly, I think Sophie has a fairly strong following here and would do well. Thanks again...I'm on it! :)

Janice,

I heard that Sophie is again playing at the North Halsted Market Days in Chicago on August 10-11, 2002. Is there any truth to this rumor? She was wonderful last year with being there, at Border's Bookstore, etc. Are there any plans of Sophie playing in a more intimate venue in Chicago? Thank you and take care.

Kathy

Hi:

I'm not sure, there are a number of dates for July that haven't been confirmed yet. I'll try and find out if Market Days is also in the works

That would be cool if she did the North Halsted Street Market Days again. You got to admit - She did rock...

I know you were up pretty close up to the stage, we where probably standing right next to each other. I was the idiot taking pictures and taping the show the whole time. Heck, I almost got knocked over when she threw a pair of jeans in the audience. The person standing in front of me caught em but everybody was going nuts.

Hmmmmm, that wasn't you that ended up with the jeans was it?

P.S.
Did you make it to the Border's Book Store to see her last year?
